A Scientometric Analysis of Studies on Risk Management in Construction Projects

Risk management is one of the topical areas in construction project research. However, no attempt has been made past decades to explore emerging themes this area. This paper reviews research trends risk construction. The bibliometric data 1635 publications between 1979 and 2022 were extracted from Scopus using a set keywords. study used VOSviewer Gephi conduct scientometric analysis on publications. review outcome indicates significant increase construction, with about 205 recorded 2021 alone. Based analysis, it projected that next decade will see management, especially as industry moves towards Industry 5.0 many uncertainties. Further, most productive countries studies include China, United States, Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong. Emerging key are discussed network diagrams clusters. These processes analytical models techniques, sources uncertainties, effective knowledge-based systems for improved contingency contracts, risk-integrated planning scheduling, stakeholder management. findings inform researchers current progress highlight possible directions can be considered.
